Linda Taliaferro is the Vice President of Global Quality for Meritor, Inc.  Meritor is a Fortune 500 leading global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking and aftermarket solutions for commercial truck, trailer, off-highway, defense, and specialty markets. Meritor is made up approximately 10,000 employees worldwide, revenue at $3.5B. Linda has quality oversight for 40 sites, including joint ventures, located in 18 countries on 5 continents.

Prior to joining Meritor, Linda held the position of Global Quality, Environmental Health and Safety Director at Littelfuse, Inc. headquartered in Chicago, IL.  Littelfuse is a leader in products that are used in every market that provide electrical energy.  Taliaferro’s scope of responsibilities include more than 17 manufacturing, sales, and engineering facilities in North American and Asia, as well as a global network of distribution channels.

Before joining Littelfuse, Linda held the position of Ford North America Advanced Quality Director at Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) from December 2011 to February of 2013.  She has held positions of increasing responsibility within Hayes Lemmerz, Inc., which is now Maxion Wheels.  From 2003 to 2011, she served as the Director of Quality for both the Suspensions and Powertrain business units, Director of Quality, Operational Excellence and Program Management in Wheels, which led to a Global Director position responsible for 17 wheel facilities in the same 3 functional areas.  Linda has also worked for companies such as Bosch, BMW MC and Detroit Diesel, within Operations, Quality, Purchasing and Supplier Development, throughout her 30 plus year career.

Linda is the Founder of The TEE – The Extra Effort, LLC, a career advisory service based business that assists women in changing the trajectory of their careers within corporate America.

This year, Linda was one of 45 women awarded Woman Worth Watching in STEM by Profiles in Diversity Journal.  In 2015, Linda received the Women of Color STEM Special Recognition award.  Linda is the President of the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF), board member of the American Heart Association Metro Detroit, member of American Society of Quality (ASQ), member of Inforum Women’s Professional Alliance and Women in Manufacturing (WIM), advisory committee member for the Women Who Motor, a member of the Links, Inc., a member of Jack and Jill of America and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She holds certifications as a Six Sigma Green Belt, Quality Engineer, and Quality Auditor.  Linda was born in New Castle, PA.  During her career, Linda has lived in Ohio, South Carolina, and spent 1 year in southern Germany, before moving to Michigan where she resides today.  She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.  She is fluent in German.

Linda is married to Christopher L. Taliaferro.  Her daughter, Alexis C. McCullough is currently enrolled at Howard University.
