Judy is…Proactive. Collaborative. Organized.

Judy Rathwell models integrity drives excellence and encourages collaboration. She has 24 years of corporate experience across various industries, including automotive, telecom and marketing services industries and has a proven leadership track record. She is known for the focus and energy she brings to each project and she delivers the best possible results, on time.

Throughout her career, she has gravitated to roles and projects that are ambiguous, undefined, and new in nature – as she enjoys jumping in and figuring things out – this is where she honed her collaboration and teamwork skills. In her marketing and project management roles, she is known for bringing color, direction and results to a wide variety of “gray or vague” objectives.

Judy believes in continuous improvement and lives by the mantra ‘you become what you think about’. This drives her overall thinking and is vitally important to her when leading key projects and building strong relationships.

At Valassis, she led the launch of the Direct Mail Sampling product, working collaboratively with the United States Postal Service, suppliers, internal departments, and clients. This resulted in overseeing the launch of a $14 million dollar product line. She co-led the acquisition and integration of the door-to-door sampling product, which added $5 million to the business. Her biggest accomplishment to date was leading key Human Resources projects for two newly merged billion-dollar organizations (Valassis and ADVO). This involved integrating two HR systems resulting in synergies and cost savings of $1.5 million, as well as being an integral part of the development and implementation of a new compensation and titling structure for the newly merged company. Judy also marketed the launch of a centralized HR call center that supported over 4,000 employees nationwide, including developing metrics showcasing 99% employee satisfaction with the service they received. She also streamlined the Benefits Open Enrollment employee communication process by developing a video-based communication and training program. This saved time and money for both the employees and the HR team by minimizing travel and the number of on site open enrollment meetings. The bottom-line is that Judy loves a good challenge and enjoys helping others! Judy takes her friendly, service-orientated demeanor into her community as well. She teaches Faith Formation for the past seven years and is committed to volunteering in her community for several local community charities.

Judy currently lives in Northville with her husband, Dan, and their two children.
